New constituency in Geneva, Switzerland
July 27, 2022
On the occasion of the Constitutional Plebiscite votes scheduled for Sunday, September 4, 2022, we are proud to announce the opening of a new constituency in the city of Geneva, Switzerland. After several years of discussion between the cantons of Geneva and Bern, this idea was proposed, considering two points: the high number of Chilean voters who live in Geneva and lightening the load of the Chilean Consulate in Bern team during this intense day. This new polling station is located at Rue de Genève 77, 1225 Chêne-Bourg (Paroisse Protestante de Chêne).
In addition and only for this occasion, the polling stations of the Chilean Consulate in Bern will be moved to Wylerstrasse 5, 3014 Bern (Kirchgemeindehaus Johannes).
Both constituencies, in Bern and Geneva, will be open between 08:00 and 18:00.
To vote, people will have to present themselves with a Chilean identity card or passport, a document that will be accepted only for the purpose of identifying the national voter, even if they have expired as of October 1, 2019.
